It looks like one visit to Copenhagen was enough for Barack Obama. It has been only a few weeks since Obama’s narcissistic speech to the Olympic Committee telling them that they should have the Olympics in Chicago so that he and Michelle could welcome the world to their neighborhood. The world thought Rio would be more fun and the Olympic Committee gave Chicago the least votes of the four cities competing for the 2016 Olympics.
The Times of London reports that Barack Obama will almost certainly not attend the climate change summit in Copenhagen in December. He will go to neighboring Oslo, Norway to accept the Nobel Peace Price on December 10, two days after the start of the Copenhagen meeting.
Is Obama reacting to changing views on global warming? A survey by the Pew Research Center finds fewer Americans believing that there is solid evidence for global warming and that global warming that has occurred is a result of human activity. Only 35 percent of people surveyed see global warming as a serious problem, down from 44 percent in April 2008.
