We sometimes forget that conservatives and libertarians are not the only ones that have issues with our president. There is also the looney left that is disappointed that President Obama is not pushing for immediate nationalization of healthcare (i.e. a “single payer system”), that he hasn’t pushed for a change to the “don’t ask, don tell” policy on gays in the military and that he hasn’t ended the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.
Creeping nationalization of health care and months of indecisiveness on Afghanistan are no comfort to Obama’s conservatives, libertarians and tea party opponents, but these positions have infuriated the left fringe of American politics.
Just in time for Christmas shopping, FreshJive.com, a left-wing outfit, is now selling T-shirts picturing Obama’s campaign image and the slogan “Hope is Fading Fast.” Will more Republicans or Democrats buy this T-shirt? Who knows, but this is a rare example of something with true bipartisan appeal during the reign of Obama.
