Professor Phil Jones, the director of the Climate Research Unit (CRU) at the University of East Anglia steps temporarily down pending an investigation. Jones is the author of emails discussing how to keep critical work out of peer-reviewed journals and how to shield scientists’ data and methodology from outside scrutiny.
