One more post about the election of Scott Brown.
Here is a map of Massachusetts showing the 2008 presidential election results. Blue designates areas where majorities voted for Barack Obama, red areas voted for John McCain.
Compare this to a map of the Jan. 19, 2010 election that swept Scott Brown (red areas) into the Senate:
If voter preference can change like this in 14 months in Massachusetts, one of the most liberal states, imagine what is possible nationwide in the November, 2010 election when voters will vote for all 435 seats in the House of Representatives and a third of all Senate seats.
Republican candidates in 2010 are well-advised to study Scott Brown’s conservative campaign to understand how clear, principled conservative messages (e.g. “I will be the 41st vote against Obamacare”, “cut taxes to create jobs”, and “let’s spend money on capturing dangerous terrorists not on paying their lawyers”) helped Scott Brown win a victory that no one believed possible a month ago.
