President Obama stubbornly keeps insisting that premiums for most Americans will decline under his proposed bill. Here he is in an exchange with Republican Senator Lamar Alexander at the recent health care summit:
He reiterated his claim in a speech on March 8: “Our cost-cutting measures mirror most of the proposals in the current Senate bill, which reduces most people’s premiums.”
Now Democratic Senator Dick Durban is saying on the floor of the Senate that anyone who says that premiums will go down “is not telling the truth.” Watch the video (via HotAir):
