PJTV’s Bill Whittle’s Advice to Graduates: “Create Wealth Out of Thin Air”

June 10, 2010

PJTV’s Bill Whittle gives guidance on going out into the real world to today’s graduates, who have been told all their lives that they are “precious, little snowflakes”. It starts out steady, but slow and gets increasingly better when he starts giving advice on how to succeed to graduates and talks about “creating wealth out of thin air”. Wealth is in the connections and complexities we human beings create and Bill Whittle does a great job bringing this reality to graduates: “Don’t spread the wealth around. Create wealth out of thin air.”

Whittle provides a perspective on society, individual success and improving the human condition that you won’t hear at your average commencement speech.

Note the background, Bill uses throughout the speech. It is a photo of Century Tower at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida Pundit’s alma mater. I am not sure why Bill Whittle chose it, but it is nice that the University of Florida is featured like this. We have a heck of a university in this state that despite being a state university draws enormous funding for research from private industry and is by all measures one of the leading universities in the United States.
