The media reported less disruption than feared at TSA checkpoints the day before Thanksgiving. Not a big surprise. A lot of people flying Wednesday hadn’t flown since the new intrusive search procedures have been implemented. And everyone who travels on the busiest travel day of the year to get to their destination and enjoy a Thanksgiving dinner with their family is eager to get there.
For most people this wasn’t the time for a protest, although there were interesting exceptions:
A woman decided to wear a bikini: “I’m hoping by wearing a bikini they will see everything they need to see and we can avoid a pat-down.”
A guy stripped down to his Speedo’s with a message for Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Incompetano, also known as “Big Sis”, written on his back:
Both the Speedo guy and the girl in the bikini got through the screening without incident. The TSA wasn’t going to have a confrontation on a day of intense media attention.
