get attachment.aspx 300x247 Secretary of Health: Americans Need Re Education on ObamacareMore than five months after Democrats rammed Obamacare through Congress, the legislation is more unpopular than ever. It is becoming apparent to more and more people that Obamacare will ration health care while increasing costs and accelerating our march towards national bankruptcy.

So what does the Obama administrations think needs to change? Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sibelius has the answer: “we have a lot of reeducation to do.”

Re-education? Where have we heard this before? Oh yes, it was a favorite terms use by Soviet communists who talked about the need to “re-educate” people who did not happily embrace the official ideology. “Re-education” was carried out brutally by hard labor in Siberian concentration camps.

The two top meanings of “re-education” on Wikipedia are:

* A euphemism for Brainwashing, efforts aimed at instilling certain beliefs in people against their will
* Reeducation through labor, also called laojiao, a form of penal detention in China; or the Soviet gulags for “re-education of class enemies” and reintegrating them through labor into the Soviet society

How can a senior Obama administration official be dumb enough to use a terms that has acquired such sinister meaning? Florida Pundit does not expect to be shipped off to a re-education camp where he will be taught to think happy thoughts about Obamacare.

What this blunder by Sibelius shows is how blind Obama and the Democrats are to the fact that voters are in fact quite well informed about Obamacare and are rejecting the goods they have been sold. Obama is so arrogant in his belief that he has the answers to everything that when a majority of people oppose him in his mind they are just not able to keep up with him. He attributes their opposition to fear, most recently in an interview where he was asked about what motivates the hundreds of thousands of Americans who attended Glenn Beck’s rally last weekend.

So, given all those anxieties — and given the fact that, you know, in none of these situations are you going to be fix things overnight. It’s not surprising that somebody like a Mr. Beck is able to stir up a certain portion of the country.

We are reminded of Obama’s comments during campaign about those “bitter Americans” who cling to their guns and religion.

Given this arrogance, don’t expect any changes in policy from the president after Democrats are defeated in November. Do expect the rhetoric to continue to be hostile to and dismissive of his opponents. Oh and whatever is wrong with the economy in what hopefully will be the final two years of the Obama administration must surely be the fault of George Bush.

Sen. Max Baucus (D-MT), one of the architects of Obamacare tells his constituents in Montana: “I don’t think you want me to waste my time to read every page of the health care bill.”

He continues to state that only experts in statutory legal language can understand what legislation like Obamacare really says.

The arrogance is not surprising. What is surprising is how tone deaf the Left in Washington still is to make statements like this two months before an election in which they face one of the biggest defeats in US history.
